Our Whitebait NZ Frozen is the highest quality, wild-caught whitebait from the pristine waters of the Westcoast of the South Island in New Zealand. This 2025 season caught ensures that our whitebait is fresh blast-frozen for maximum flavour and enjoyment. Captured on the west coast of the South Island.

Note: product will be received in vacuum packed amounts of 450-500g or 250G for the amounts ordered. ie: if you order 1KG you will receive 2 x 500g packs or 4 x 250G packs

I was so disappointed that 250gms had defrosted completely and the edges of the other 3 bags had started to defrost as well. Going by the emails I got they were in the box for about 30 hours before I got them. That was a long time out of a freezer. I even called you I was worried. The person I talked to was not a lot of help. I just don't think there was enough ice in it. I have had them before from you and was happy with them.

The experience didn't start off well, but they came to the party . All in all it was very good service.

Whitebait arrived safely however it was a bit later than the scheduled 3 hour window and some had actually thawed. The guys used a lot of frozen pads but just laid them on top of the whitebait, might’ve been good to put some under it as well or wrap the whitebait up in the frozen sheet. Shame the courier probably let them down a bit and didn’t prioritise given they knew it was frozen goods.

The second lot of whitebait. Yes they are pricey but divine . North Island whitebait have no comparison to the South Islandwhitebait . They are larger & more flavoursome. Let's face it they are a once a year big treat!

Excellent product, but more thought could be given to packaging. A smaller container was needed and should have been packed tightly with ice around the fish. After 30 hours in transit, it had all rattled around, fish were nowhere near the ice and had thawed completely. Shame!
