Our Whitebait NZ Frozen is the highest quality, wild-caught whitebait from the pristine waters of the Westcoast of the South Island in New Zealand. This 2025 season caught ensures that our whitebait is fresh blast-frozen for maximum flavour and enjoyment. Captured on the west coast of the South Island.

Note: product will be received in vacuum packed amounts of 450-500g or 250G for the amounts ordered. ie: if you order 1KG you will receive 2 x 500g packs or 4 x 250G packs

I bought 500 gms of whitebait. The Whitebait was amazing. However, it arrived thawed. I feel like the box was too big and not filled with the cold packs. We had to eat it all over the weekend and I had wanted to freeze them....

I ordered the whitebait on the 23rd October '25, they weren't dispatched until the 28th October and did arrive until 31st October, as you can imagine they were unfit for consumption. I have yet to receive my refund as the company is giving me the runaround, even though I have it in an email that they say they will refund.

You dispatched the whitebait on the Thursday before Labour Weekend, but the Friday is a holiday in Hawke's Bay so I didn't receive it. The courier sent it back to you. The whitebait are delicious - really nice flavour in the fritters, which were made only with egg and a little salt and pepper. I had never made whitebait fritters before and found that 3 eggs worked well with the 250g pack of whitebait - absolutely delicious - cooked very lightly with a tiny bit of butter. So glad to have another 3 packs in the freezer!
